Maite Boyero Egido is currently the Spanish delegate in the Civil Security for Society (Cluster 3), under the Horizon Europe Programme. She’s the National Contact Point for that programme, as well. She’s been acting as security research Spanish delegate since 2008, at that time under FP7, followed by Horizon2020.
MSc in Telecommunication Engineering (ETSETB, Barcelona, Spain), Executive MBA at Instituto de Empresa (Madrid, 2007), and Masters in Digital Communications at Telecom Bretagne (France, 1997), she also has a long experience in the Security, Defence and Telecommunications industry.
Maite Boyero has been awarded with the Guardia Civil “Cruz de la Orden del Mérito con distintivo blanco” (awarded in 2019 by the Minister of the Interior) as well as the Prize for Women Innovators in Security (2022) by the Spanish technology Platform on Industrial security. She also takes part of the Spanish national Forum on Cybersecurity, an initiative led by the Ministry of Presidency.
