John Hughes is the Engineering Director at MPE a world leading supplier of HEMP and EMC filters, he joined MPE as Engineering Manager in 2022. A graduate from the University of Nottingham John studied Manufacturing Engineering and Operations Management before specializing in Design Engineering at the beginning of his career. John has been working in engineering design for 18 years primarily in the Aerospace, Military and Marine sectors. For the past 11 years, John has been managing multidisciplinary design teams delivering successful projects from Aerial spray systems to military touch screen displays & now with MPE high performance HEMP & EMI filter solutions. In his first year at MPE john managed the design and release of the world’s first range of filters meeting the latest MIL-STD-188-125-1A standard and has overseen the design of many custom filters for some of the most challenging HEMP requirements.
